On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jacquie Thomson as the new Chief Executive Officer who will lead Ability Centre from late September.
Jacquie is currently General Manager Lottery Operations at Lotterywest where she has held senior strategic roles for the last 16 years. For 12 years she was the General Manager of Grants and Community Development.
Jacquie is committed to the not for profit sector and to developing our community as one that is in inclusive, strong and socially rich. “Having started my career in the not for profit sector, I am very excited to be returning to it, and to be working with an organisation of the calibre of Ability Centre, building on its strong history of providing services and supports to people with disability and their families.”
The Board selected Jacquie from a strong field of candidates because of her outstanding leadership skills, professional experience and her passion for the organisation and the people it serves.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Darren Cutri for his leadership as Acting Chief Executive Officer since February this year and the Executive team for their support and leadership. We look forward to welcoming Jacquie to the Ability Centre family on 25 September 2018.
