Following Ability WA's Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, 26 October 2022, the Board of Directors elected Dianne Ritson as Chairperson, Tony Adcock as Deputy, and re-elected Mino Intini as Treasurer.
After 11 years serving on the Board of Directors, Justin Scanlan advised the Annual General Meeting that he would not seek another term as Chairman or Director.
Justin was appointed to the Board in 2011 and has served as Chairman since 2013, steering Ability WA through considerable changes in the disability sector. With his wife Wendy, the Scanlan family are passionate advocates within the disability sector and will continue to advocate for better access to early intervention services for children living with disability and their families.
"Justin's passion and enthusiasm have driven our Board to think big and make the most of the opportunities in front of us – always thinking about the best outcomes for our customers.
His experience has helped elevate our Board's professionalism, creating a wonderful culture where everyone can speak freely and contribute their ideas and opinions. This culture ensures our Board decisions are transparent and that we, as Board members, are accountable.
I'm sure we'll keep Justin to his word and make sure he's busy with the Foundation and fighting for better access to early intervention services for children and their families." Said Chairperson Dianne Ritson.
